By using Digital Life ("the Service") you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. The Service
Digital Life is a free browser-based simulation of an abstract ecosystem. Results are produced by explicit rules and random numbers; they are educational and entertaining, not scientific predictions or professional advice.
2. Acceptable use
Do not attempt to disrupt, overload, reverse-engineer for abuse, or gain unauthorized access to the Service or its API; do not use automated means to send excessive requests; and do not use the Service for unlawful purposes.
3. Your content
Ecosystems, notes and exported files you create belong to you. Share links only contain starting settings. You are responsible for what you share with others.
4. Intellectual property
The software, design, text and illustrations of the Service are protected by intellectual property laws. Some illustrations were created with the help of AI image generation. You may share screenshots and links for non-commercial purposes.
5. AI explanations
Optional AI-generated summaries may be inaccurate or incomplete. Always rely on the in-app statistics and event log as the source of truth.
6. Availability and changes
The Service is provided "as is" and may change, be interrupted or discontinued at any time. Local saves may become unreadable after major engine changes; we try to provide migrations.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages or loss of data arising from use of the Service. Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot be limited under applicable consumer law.
8. Governing law and contact
